POSITION

PTW is hiring a PROPOSALS COORDINATOR to join our team in Calgary! The Proposal Coordinator supports multiple concurrent proposals under the guidance of the Proposal Manager and will support the overall structured and standardized proposal development processes. The Proposal Coordinator participates in the researching of Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quotation (RFQ) requirements and assists with the creation of the proposal directive and schedule. The Proposal Coordinator is expected to directly contribute to the continuous improvement of proposal development and knowledge management processes and take a hands-on approach to proposal tasks.

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

  • Provides the development of proposals and participates in the overall strategy as directed by the Proposal Manager or Proposal Team Lead.
  • Record receipt of and review Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quote (RFQ) packages and ensure documentation fully received.
  • Attend meetings and leads the proposal process and other contributors during proposal development.
  • Extracts client forms from the RFQ documents fills in all known information.
  • Reviews specifications and drawings to determine RFQ requirements.
  • Effectively determines the bid strategies required for the company to be successful.
  • Engages PTW’s project management teams to ensure proposal alignment.
  • Assists the Procurement department in acquiring pricing and proposals from various suppliers and subcontractors. Interfaces with clients and contractors during pre and post-tender applications to develop effective business relationships.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have 5+ years of Bid Coordination, Estimating, or Project Management experience.
  • Industrial Major Project construction industry experience required.
  • Strong technical writing and document editing skills.
  • Experience in developing and managing the execution of proposals, in high pressure environments with minimal direction.
  • Ability to read and understand Contract Documents, commercial acumen, and understanding of contractual terms and conditions to identify risks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to help out wherever needed.
  • Practical, “can do” approach and positive attitude to problem solving with high initiative and determination to “roll-up sleeves and get the job done”
