PTW is hiring a Junior HSE Advisor to join our team at our Frontier Location in Rockyview County! This position will support our Frontier Yard work front. 

 

The Junior HSE Advisor will be a resource to all PTW employees on site and will have a variety of daily operational responsibilities related to the establishment and maintenance of a safe working environment for the yard. 

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

  • Know and manage the site-specific safety plan
  • Monitor compliance with PTW's safety program
  • Monitor compliance with the client's safety processes as well as provincially legislated safety regulations
  • Participates in regular meetings with the site team and provides input from a safety perspective
  • Supports, advise and mentors site team members with regards to HSE policies and practices
  • Ensures employees have the minimum required training and PPE
  • Ensures all hazard assessments are completed
  • Effectively plan, organize, communicate, and monitor progress on tasks as they relate to HSE
  • Attends and participates in leading daily toolbox meetings
  • Prepares and maintains all HSE documentation requirements for the site

 

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) required
  • 3+ years of working experience in the OH&S Field (Electrical/Instrumentation construction industry)
  • Valid safety ticket certifications required (WHMIS, CSTS-09 or CSTS20)
  • Competent with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build productive working relationships with the PTW team at site as well as the client and the HSE team
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work well independently and with the team
  • Strong communication skills, Self-motivated and reliable
