Role Summary:
We are seeking an Electrician with commercial experience to support maintenance and construction activities in offices, camp facilities, and other non-process buildings. Working alongside HVAC technicians and other trades, the successful candidate will be committed to delivering safe, high-quality work while maintaining a strong focus on attention to detail, safety, and exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work in camp facilities, offices, and other non-process buildings.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Install and maintain lighting systems, panels, feeders, conduit, cable tray, branch circuits, and related electrical equipment.
- Support the installation and maintenance of motors, control circuits, PLC-related components, and three-phase power systems as required.
- Complete motor terminations, equipment hookups, and commissioning activities.
- Work collaboratively with HVAC technicians and other trades to support building maintenance projects.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), company procedures, and site safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and report deficiencies or safety concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate recognized by the applicable regulatory authority.
- Previous commercial electrical experience in camp facilities, offices, institutional, or industrial support buildings.
- Experience working in industrial, oil & gas, mining, or remote camp environments is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Standard First Aid, CSTS/ESTS, and AWP/MEWP certifications.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible to work shift schedules, overtime, weekends, and camp-based rotations.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various outdoor weather conditions.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly wage ranging from $47.30 - $54.55, commensurate with experience and certification
- Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
